About Barney, Fred & Us
This blog is about Barney who was diagnosed with bone cancer Osteosarcoma at the age of 15 months old. He is a very handsome, large Rottweiler with a very gentle soul.
He had a slip/fall down a ditch while chasing a stick (one of his favourite games) and although it obviously hurt him he walked home without any trouble. He limped a little the next day and we thought it was a rupture in his cruciate ligament; we were really informed on this as our other Rottie Fred had both his back legs operated with the TPLO procedure.
So off to the vets we went, unfortunately it wasn’t his cruciate and that is where our story begins.
